The second class on the afternoon of 6th September, at the teaching& research activity room, the English Department of Junior High Section in the east campus convened the second teaching& research conference in the new semester, hosted by teacher Zhu Renge. All teachers from the English Department conducted the themed seminar with regard to how to persuade students to form favorable English learning habits. Some of the teachers issued keynote speeches in combination with the actual situation of Anqing Foreign Language School while others participated in group discussions.
First of all, based on his own teaching practice, Zhu Renge emphasized on how to persuade students to make the best of morning reading classes so that they could strengthen English recitation and understand the significance of memorization in English studies. Also, Zhu Renge explained why we should promote students’ abilities in memorization and the impact of intensive oral English training on students’ future development.
Second of all, Zhang Mengmeng shared her unique method concerning how to help students memorize words and how she spent time dealing with students’ problems.
Third of all, Qi Qingqing talked about her three ‘opening’ principles regarding the effective implementation of classroom teaching in addition to the crafty inspiration of body language on students.
Fourth of all, Wang Xia laid emphasis on how to make use of night coaching lessons to make clear-cut plans, proceed regular inspection as well as issue timely awards.
Moreover, other teachers presented their perspectives combining the pragmatic conditions with their own practical teaching experience.
In a nutshell, by means of this teaching& research activity, teachers not only shared their teaching methods respectively, but also genuinely drew on the wisdom of the majority on the basis of the general status of our school and students, which enabled teachers to learn from others’ strong points to offset their weakness and powerfully oriented the classroom teaching in the new term.
